‘MUSIC’ PORCELAIN GARLIC

FLAVOR PROFILE: hot, robust flavor. Sweetens when baked.

APPEARANCE/WRAPPER: almost identical to German White. Cream-colored bulbs.

NUMBER/SIZE OF CLOVES: 4-7 cloves that peel easily.

GROWING HABITS/TIPS: full sun, well-drained soil, ample compost. Adaptable to extreme northern climates.

STORAGE/LIFE: 5-7 months.

MISC: large scapes.

‘Music’ is a hardneck Porcelain variety that is great for cooks who want a hot, robust garlic flavor in their dishes that sweetens when baked. The cream-colored bulbs have 4-7 cloves that are easily peeled. ‘Music’ requires full sun and well-drained soil that has been prepared with compost. It is also adaptable to extreme northern climates. When stored in a cool, dry place it will have a shelf life of about 5-7 months. In addition to being a great variety of garlic, ‘Music’ produces large scapes that are perfect for a delicious pesto or stir fry. Approximately 30 to 40 seeds per pound.

All garlic sold by Big Elk Garlic Farm is a perishable food item that is naturally dried using only sunlight and air. It needs to be stored properly until use in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
